Battle Strategies: Turning Battles Into Connection

We all face everyday battles with our children. Simple daily routines can become a war zone - not for the faint of heart. Even though it can be easier to hang-up the white flag or avoid conflict all together, we'll discuss how to face these battles head on! What is the driving force behind the power struggles? What are some research-based, time-tested strategies to turn your child from adversary to ally?

Caley will help you make a plan for the upcoming school year so that you can enjoy your mornings with your children and use your evenings for connection instead of battles. Social Enrichment Summer Camp At Jupiter Christian School

  • Google Calendar ICS

Camp Weeks: June 17 - 21 & June 24 - 28, July 22 - 26 & July 29 - August 2nd. We meet Monday, Wednesday, Friday, each week 9:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.

This camp is designed for children who may need help with the social skills necessary to be successful in school: attention span, impulse control, initiating play, appropriate responses, reading social cues, sharing, following a routine, etc.

Class time will include the following: a sensory activity, exploratory/social play, a creative activity, teacher read-aloud, and teamwork exercises. Each play component of camp allows embedded learning opportunities to be facilitated by Caley.

Because these learning opportunities are created in play activities and with peers, children practice new skills in a meaningful and authentic way. This practice allows greater generalization of skills across other social settings such as home and school.

Toddler Social Class & Crafts

Toddlerhood is an exciting time! Children are acquiring the prerequisite skills to talk, read, and write. Come play in an environment with activities arranged to enhance toddler learning, social skills, and ideas for moms to take home. Children will interact in a strategically arranged classroom, but all activities will be child-led, adult supervised; meaning children may decide to play with a ball instead of the awesome paint activity, and we'll encourage their choice! Every week the highlighted activity will facilitate the "weekly skill". Skills will be selected based upon age-appropriate milestones across all developmental domains. Our intention is to teach parents about expected milestones and provide ideas, activity, and tips for supporting your child's development at home.

Registration for the class includes: all materials for class, a hand-out on a weekly skill, and an hour meeting every week.

Class Age Group: Kids Class (1 - 2 Year-Olds)

Price: $65/month, paid at the beginning of every month

If your child does not fall into one of these age groups, you are still encouraged to join us! You will still learn great tools to learn when your child shows signs of readiness. Please feel free to contact us and discuss further details.
